Little drummer boy

Little Drummer Boy is my favorite Christmas song. I know that it is not liturgically correct in that the song puts the drummer boy at the center of the action and not the Christ, however I still love the response the boy has to the child. There is something simply elegant to have anyone bring their simple gifts to the betterment of humanity - even if it is just drumming ever so humbly. This song speaks to my missional theology in that it is good to worship, however if that worship does not lead to action and response, then the worship is hollow. This boy brings his gifts onto the scene as a response to the Christ. So to are Christians to bring our gifts in response to what God has and is doing in the world. In honor of the drummer boy, I submit to you some drumming via the interwebs.
