If I were to take pictures of war and people suffering and at the same time juxtaposed teachings of Jesus or perhaps I were to take headlines of stories of people being trampled by shoppers and have "Blessed are the meek and Blessed are the poor" running along the bottom of the screen - you would know right away I was being critical.
While a very pretty commercial, I wonder if this commercial in which Holy Night and America are sang in the same tune is the most blatant example of Christianity (or perhaps ever just Jesus) being understood as "American" or perhaps a prophetic message to Christians that we have allowed the message of Jesus to be hijacked by America.
In case you did not catch it int eh commercial tonight is the night our saviour is born - AMERICA!
