God is different...

Paul uses the word "flesh" as that which is opposed to God. The author of John uses the word "world" in the same manner. And so, John 3:16 speaks of the goodness of God, that God is able to love that which is opposed to God and incorporate that opposition into God’s self.

Humans do not have the ability to incorporate the enemy or the opposition. We seek to banish, destroy, give in or satisfy the opposition/enemy.

But God is not human. God is different and God is that which does not banish, destroy, give in or satisfy the "enemy" but is able to incorporate the opposition with God.
