I learned today that it takes between 5 and 15lbs of grain to get just 1 lb of beef to your table. And the average American eats 115 lbs of red meat a year.

I learned this listening to the August 7th interview with Dr. Erica Frank on KERA's "Think" with Krys Boyd. Just another reason for me to think about the justice involved with the food I eat.
