Thought and quote on "History "
"Most history is packets of prejudices pasted from generation to generation."
The source of this quote is unknown to me but I am curious to know what others think about this. While I agree history is written by the winners, could the winners be passing down prejudices (even unintentionally).
Thirsty - From Seth Godin
Thirsty
I've noticed that people who read a lot of blogs and a lot of books also tend to be intellectually curious, thirsty for knowledge, quicker to adopt new ideas and more likely to do important work.
I wonder which comes first, the curiosity or the success?
Are you thirsty? What are you thirsty for? Where do you get your thirst quenched?
For post #301, words from someone else
Sunday brought an interesting preacher. While I did not connect with his somewhat folksy approach to preaching (I am not trying to diminish, rather his approach is different than my own), I did connect with a couple of lines on Christian generosity.
"You cannot take it with you (money), but you can send it ahead (give it away)."
"How much we give is not as important as how much we keep."
